Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal is ideal as a soil amendment for depleted pastures or gardens. The typical analysis provides a range of minerals including calcium, nitrogen, phosphate, potash, and sulfur. Alfalfa also contains triacontanol, a naturally occurring growth hormone that boosts plant growth. Alfalfa Meal can also be used in mixed feed rations.

Alfalfa Meal is a rich source of trace elements and natural growth stimulants and an excellent soil conditioner that accelerates growth and promotes larger, more plentiful blooms

Sun-cured and freshly milled to preserve the highest plant nutrient value and is recommended for all flowering shrubs, especially roses, as well as all other vegetables, herbs and flowers

Northwest grown and it is also useful as a compost bio-activator due to its high organic matter content and ideal Carbon-to-Nitrogen ratio

Guaranteed to be GMO-free and provides a rich natural source of Potash, trace minerals, amino acids and natural plant hormones

How to use Alfalfa Meal

Roses: For existing roses, apply ½-1 cup per plant in early spring and thoroughly mix into the soil surface. For new roses, add ½-1 cup per hole, mix thoroughly into soil and water in well. Repeat application when blooms appear and again in fall at half the recommended amount,
Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds: To prepare new gardens, apply 2-4 tbsp per square foot and thoroughly mix into the top 3″ of soil. For new transplants, add 1-2 tbsp per hole, mix into soil and water in well. To feed established plants, side dress ½ cup once each month during the growing season to promote plant growth.
Containers: For new plantings, add 2-4 tbsp per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly OR add 1 cup per cubic foot. For established plants, lightly mix 1-2 tbsp per gallon into the soil surface once each month during the growing season.
Trees & Shrubs: Spread up to 1 lb per 2″ of trunk diameter around the base outwards to the drip line, mix into soil surface and water in well. For new trees, prepare transplant hole and mix 1-2 cups with the backfill soil. Use the amended soil to fill in around the new tree and water in well.

Love this product. Can’t find same locally. I compost but do not use manure. Alfalfa meal is the answer to generating a hot compost pile without manure. I will be buying this product again. Thanks!
